FORMER pupils of St Andrew’s Academy who all turn 40 this year got together to celebrate and reminisce about their school days this weekend.
Organised by four former classmates, the reunion took place in the Lauriston Hotel in Ardrossan and was a great success.
The brainchild of Michelle Mullin, Nicola Milne, Chris Lynch and Graeme Cook, the night was six months in the making and the furthest travelled attendee came all the way from Thurso.
Saturday night’s event had a cake and even a cardboard cut-out of Patricia Trainer who lives in Australia and couldn’t make it over for the reunion.
There was also a remembrance table for Stephen Munn, Gary McBreen and Simon Cawley who have sadly passed away since leaving school. Their families were contacted beforehand and a photo of each of them was on display on the night too.
