FERRY sailings between Ardrossan and Arran have been disrupted again due to adverse weather as Storm Babet strikes Scotland.
CalMac cancelled the 7am and 9.45am departures from Ardrossan, and the 8.20am and 11.05am sailings from Brodick, on Thursday, October 19.
However, with wind speeds in the Firth of Clyde easing later in the morning, the ferry operator announced that sailings would resume with the 12.30pm departure from Ardrossan.
But CalMac says services on the route remain liable to disruption or cancellation at short notice.
Winds and sea swell conditions led to the cancellation of the last two return trips on the Ardrossan-Brodick route on Wednesday.

Ardrossan- 07:00 & 09:45.

A CalMac spokesperson said: "Due to adverse weather conditions, specifically strong winds and high sea swell, the following sailings have been cancelled: Ardrossan- 07:00 & 09:45; Brodick- 08:20 & 11:05.
"Disrupting a sailing is a decision we do not take lightly because we know it will inconvenience our customers and the communities we serve. However, the safety of our customers and crew must come first.
"In this instance, the master of the vessel has judged it is necessary in response to the assessment of adverse weather conditions."
