What do Crocs, onesies and mountains all have in common?

The answer to that would be that all three things will be involved in a fantastic fundraising effort being planned by the team at the Lauriston Hotel.

The kind-hearted staff at the Ardrossan hotel and restaurant have got big plans in place for later this month as they look to raise funds for a fantastic charity, Sam's Angels.

Sam's Angels is a North Ayrshire based charity which works to support children throughout the county who have lost a parent/guardian.

The Lauriston team are to get behind the organisation with a two efforts which will be taking place this month.

The first will be held on Sunday, May 26, with a unique twist to the restaurant's typical Sunday roast service.

On that day staff will not quite be turning up in their usual work attire.

The team working that day have all been sponsored to come into work wearing onesies, crocs or pyjamas for a fundraising effort dubbed the 'cric crocing onesie day'.

Service will still be as exceptional as ever, though customers will also have the opportunity to support the staff in their efforts by making a donation towards their fundraiser.

A further event will take place the next day in a slightly more conventional fashion.

On Monday, May 27, some members of the Lauriston team will be joined by a number of the venue's regulars in a climb up Goatfell on the Isle of Arran.

It is hoped that together the two events can go a long way in supporting Sam's Angels in the fantastic work they carry out across North Ayrshire.

As well as on the day donations and individual efforts from team members, an online page has also been set up for those looking to support the Lauriston staff in their efforts.
